We will be walking 1000 miles in June... and we have chosen 2 amazing charities to support through our efforts (details below).

The Challenge

We are all gearing up to walk 1000 miles (between us) in June.

Each of us will walk as much as possible throughout the month to reach our target distance. 1000 miles may not sound like much... but it averages out at over 4 miles per team member per day, which is surprisingly challenging (you miss a few days and the average rockets up)!

We'll all record our walks on Strava and the thermometer on this page will show our combined progress - take a look here.

Our aim is to raise at least £1000 - which will be split between our two charities.

The Charities

Ribble Valley Breast Friends is a support group for women living with or beyond breast cancer. The group offers an opportunity to talk to others in a similar situation and it provides access to art therapy sessions, complementary therapies, psychotherapy and information on all aspects of dealing with breast cancer.

Founded in 2014, The Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal focusses on awareness of, and encouraging people to get checked for, prostate cancer. They hold simple PSA blood testing events, which they hold at local sports grounds. Men don’t always go to their doctor, but they’ll visit a football ground, and that’s why they base their events in these locations
