Businesses have had different experiences of 2020 – many have had to diversify their offerings to survive, whilst others have seen their businesses boom (Apple are now apparently worth more than the entire FTSE 100 combined).
With the reduction in face-to-face interactions, there is no doubt that a digital/online presence has become more important.
So…here are our top 3 tips, which we hope may provide a good starting point to boost your digital strategy:
1. Update your website
Ensuring your website is modern in appearance and function (i.e. it needs to work across all devices) is a really important place to start. First impressions count, and in a digital world, your website is the first thing many of your potential customers will see.
2. Build/organise an email list
To communicate with your customers, it really helps to have organised – and up to date - email addresses. This might be a time-consuming task but once in place, you will be able to communicate quickly and easily. Using online software such as Mailchimp is a great way to manage your email list, as well as produce and send newsletters.
3. Produce content that adds value
Whether on your website, social media platforms or in newsletters, it is important to create content that your customers want to see/read! Really think about your audience and what they want to see…but don’t overdo it. No-one likes to be bombarded with marketing!
